Saturday October 5, 10 AM-4PM. The Outdoor Learning Park is managed by volunteers and needs some LOVE!!! Come help out for as long (or little) as you'd like. Duties may include: pulling weeds and redoing paths, spreading woodchips and planting new plants. Removing invasive plant species, trail clean up, picking up trash, cutting back brush. Repainting signs and drawing educational material on the chalk board, among other general gardening tasks.
The Outdoor Learning Park is located behind the Sabraton Kroger, along the Deckers Creek Rail Trail. Park to the left of Kroger, towards the back on the side with the gas pumps. There will be a small path behind Kroger that leads you across the rail-trail to our Outdoor Learning Park. Address listed will get you to the Sabraton Kroger.
Bring water, sun protection, gardening gloves (if you have them), dress appropriately and be prepared to get dirty. FODC has tools and extra gloves.
