Who We Are

Over the past 20 years, Friends of Deckers Creek has worked tirelessly towards improving the natural qualities of, increasing public concern for, and promoting the enjoyment of the Deckers Creek watershed in Morgantown, West Virginia. Friends of Deckers Creek continues to clean up decades’ worth of environmental degradation that has been inflicted upon the watershed.

What We Do

Through remediation projects, trash cleanups, community outreach, and environmental education, it is Friends of Deckers Creek's goal to make Deckers Creek fishable and swimmable throughout the entire length of its 64 mile watershed. FODC strives to protect the Deckers Creek watershed through the prevention, reduction, and elimination of water pollution.  This is accomplished through both directly treating the watershed and indirectly educating local citizens on water polluting activities.
