We require the assistance of volunteers to construct a sturdy frame and attach transparent panels for a special project. The goal is to create a see-through cover that permits sunlight to enter and retain heat. To achieve this, we will drill holes in our outdoor beds and fix brackets on the outside to securely hold the frame. Then, we will cover the frame with plastic to effectively retain heat. This project will enhance our school's food production by extending the growing season with cold frames specifically designed for our raised beds. This will not only offer more fresh food for our families, but it will also create opportunities for our students to participate in diverse projects and grow various crops.
Volunteers are welcome to come and go at any time throughout the day.
