Who We Are

North Elementary is a public school that caters to pre-k through 5th-grade students and boasts over 600 highly diverse students. Our school is proud to offer an exceptional garden-based learning program that is implemented across all grade levels. We would love to invite volunteers to lend a hand with various projects for both our students and teachers, as well as help maintain our beautiful garden. General garden maintenance activities may include watering, weeding, planting, and so on. We are currently in the process of integrating garden-based learning into our classrooms to teach our students about the benefits of vegetables and how they can provide us with good energy.

What We Do

Our elementary school caters to students from Pre-K to 5th grade and provides a range of learning opportunities to cater to our diverse student population. With over 35 languages spoken and representation from over 50 countries, we strive to create a welcoming environment for all students.

Our approach to education is centered around garden-based, project-centered learning. We utilize the garden as a tool to help students connect with the environment and understand the importance of wellness and farm-to-table concepts. Furthermore, our hands-on learning approach is integrated across all subject areas to provide a holistic learning experience for our students.
