Come participate in our 3rd Annual Need-to-Read! Help us raise awareness and fight low literacy rates while you read!
As a volunteer for this event you will participate in a "read-in," this is similar to other advocacy efforts where participants silently participate in a select location and with more participants the more people will stop by and ask questions, such as leaving back packs to raise awareness for education.
So all you need to do is bring a book to study or read at our Read In in the Woodburn Circle on Wednesday October 18, 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
Sign in with us at the event (look for our table) and earn service hours while you read on the lawn. You can drop in for any amount of time (just sign in and out) and receive credit for as much time you can read with us that day.
You must sign in and out to have your hours verified. We will not verify any hours unless you sign in and out. You will have (1) one week to log your hours after the event. We will not approve any more than 2 hours.
