11th Annual Spring Meltdown

Friends of Deckers Creek is looking for volunteers to help with the 11th Annual Spring Meltdown, a silent and live auction fundraiser at Morgantown Brewing Company. 

We need help with setup, manning the welcome table, determining winners of silent auction, bringing items to be displayed for live auction, and event cleanup. Volunteers can easily walk to the event from the Walnut PRT station and from the downtown campus. Free but limited parking is available behind the restaurant, and paid parking is available across the street in a garage. 

The event is free to attend and features live music, as well as a variety of items to bid on throughout the evening, including lots of outdoor gear (kayaks, a bike, fishing poles, a Tentsile Stingray Tent, backpacking packs, lots of camping supplies, racks of Patagonia gear, and so on), as well as tons of tickets, gift certificates, and passes (including tubing in Harpers Ferry, kayak passes, rafting in the New River, 4 DisneyWorld Fast Pass+ tickets, Kings Island tickets, and such).

We are flexible with volunteer times and duration. We are looking to have three shifts of around 3-4 hours each for this event; if you are available and interested in volunteering longer or shorter, that is alright too.  

Shift 1: 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm - 3 volunteers needed

Shift 2: 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm - 4 volunteers needed

Shift 3: 10:00 pm to 1:00 am - 5 volunteers needed
