The Three Rivers QUEST (3RQ) Program housed at the West Virginia Water Research Institute partnered with Ascend WV is hosting their Third Annual Monongahela River Trash Sweep on April 18th, 2026, as part of Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission’s (ORSANCO) Ohio River Sweep Season. Volunteers will collect trash along the banks, rail-trail, and on the water of the Monongahela River. A handful of boats will be provided for free, but please bring your own!
Meet at the Hazel Ruby McQuain Park at the time of your shift. Volunteers must be above the age of 18 or joined by a parent/guardian who meets the minimum age.
