Assist the VISTA Collaborative with advertising for Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week!
We need volunteers that are open to speaking with others this Friday Night (September 28, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm) to spread awareness about poverty by passing out resource material in residence halls and sitting at a table in the Mountainlair and Student Recreation Center.
Volunteers will meet Chris Cunningham and Lidi Gregory at the Student Rec Center Front Desk between 3:45pm and 4:00pm.
Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is an opportunity to tackle these issues on your campus. The Awareness Week is a way to:
- Educate the student body and your community about these issues and build support for solutions
- Perform community service that helps those in need
- Raise money and donations to support local agencies
Learn about ways to fight against homelessness and other forms of poverty in Morgantown while helping us build awareness and promote our Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week programs! We will provide you with background information on homelessness in Morgantown and reflect on the service project upon ending.
Bring an Umbrella or Rain jacket if rain is expected!
