On September 15, the Appalachian Prison Book Project Student Organization will host the first-ever APBP Walk for Justice! The two-mile walk will begin at 10:00AM at the WVU Arboretum and end at the MountainLair.
APBP is dedicated to providing educational opportunities to incarcerated people. For those on the inside, books are invaluable resources for learning new skills and maintaining peace of mind. Reading has the ability to transport people to another place. Frederick Douglass said, “Once you learn to read, you will be forever free.”
Please join us! And let us know why you are walking.
