This is a two-day work weekend, with 8 hours available on Saturday [9-5] and 4 hours available on Sunday [1-5].
Saturday's focus will be on cleaning out all the drainage features along Roadside Trail [3.1 miles], from the Overlook end to the Front Gate/Day Use Parking Lot end. We'll use rakes, shovels, and mattocks.
Sunday's focus will be on planting trees and maintaining the 170 saplings that CRF and volunteers have already planted in the Overlook Picnic Area. Any spare time will then be spent on trailwork.
Volunteers are to meet in the large, gravel 'Overflow Parking Lot', just before the Overlook Parking Lot.
Tools, work gloves, instruction provided. Volunteers supply their own food and drink.
Dress for the weather and expect to get dirty.
'Open-House' style -- volunteers need not work entire shifts; arrive late or leave early if you choose.
