Outside Line Control at the Empty Bowls Luncheon Feb 24

Three Line Control volunteers will take turns working outside and inside the building (2 volunteers outside and 1 volunteer inside), at the entrances to the Hazel and Ruby Community Center. Volunteers will direct patrons with ‘tickets in hand’ to the back of the entry lines. Volunteers will direct patrons who need to purchase tickets and patrons who have tickets at Will Call to the appropriate doors outside and tables inside the lobby and remind patrons they will need to go to the back of the lines once they have their tickets. Volunteers will also let patrons know that if they prefer Soup To Go, once they have their tickets, they can be taken to the Ticket Exchange areas, then select their bowl and go to the Soup To Go table – those patrons will not be seated at Mylan.

Volunteers can operate in 2 shifts, 1st shift 10 am - 12:30 (All positions are FULL) & 2nd shift 12:15 - 2:30 (All positions are FULL).

Volunteers working Line Control outside the building can take turns being outside to minimize exposure of volunteers to cold or poor weather conditions.
