On Friday, February 9th, the Coopers Rock Foundation will need help in setting up and preparing for our Annual WinterFest, which occurs on Saturday the 10th. The open-house (work as much or as little as you want ... less than 5 hours is okay) volunteer time period on the 9th is from 12-5.

Volunteers who come out on the 9th need to dress for the weather. We hold our WinterFest "snow or no," so whether it is -5 degrees or 55 degrees, volunteers need to be prepared.
We'll be doing tasks like: clearing an area for beginner cross-country skiers to try out that sport, moving a few picnic tables around, carrying firewood from pickup truck to fire pit, adding snow to a road crossing to enable xc-skiers to ski over the road, adding snow to the Downhill Time Trial Course and marking its Start and Finish Lines, placing event signs, putting up flagging marking the parameters of the Women's Frying Pan Toss area, building snow obstacles along the Snow Obstacle Course, and more. Tasks will depend on the weather conditions at that time.
