Volunteers are needed immediately to assist with various administrative tasks in communities affected by the significant flooding that affected several Northern WV Counties on July 29, 2017.
Volunteers are needed to help at volunteer reception centers (VRCs), at supply distribution sites, at shelters, and with other tasks in affected communities. WVU faculty, staff, and students are all welcome to sign-up as are WVU Foundation and WVU Medicine Volunteers.
The WVU Center for Service and Learning is working closely with Volunteer WV and the WV VOAD to provide volunteers when and where they are needed. Someone will contact you with opportunities for assistance after you sign-up here in iServe.
No experience is necessary and flexibility with schedules will be accommodated when possible. Anyone with previous experience in leading volunteer groups or with disaster or flood relief should (in addition to signing-up here in iServe) contact Alexis McMillen at 304-216-1949 or alexis.mcmillen@mail.wvu.edu.
