Operation Dawson Storm is a full scale exercise to test operational and emergency response plans, policies, and procedures for a coordinated Law Enforcement and Multiagency CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Defense, and Explosive) incident within Monongalia County West Virginia.
The Monongalia County Health Department (MCHD) is searching for community and student volunteers for this full scale event on July 22 from 7:30am to 3:00pm. MCHD needs a diverse group of volunteers to make this exercise a success. Lunch will be provided.
Rehabilitation – 3 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
- Required to have medical experience – this includes medical assistant, emt, paramedic, nursing school, etc.
- Assist with tent setup and takedown at end of scenario
- Login/logout event players from entrance of decontamination
- Monitor responders for heat exhaustion, heat stress, and heat stroke via vital signs
- Refer event players to medical tent if adverse effects of heat and strain are seen
