What: 2017 Cub Scout Weekend. This year's theme is space exploration. Activities include archery, BB rifles, escape room puzzle, orienteering, hiking, rowboats, and slingshots.
Who: The event will host roughly 100 Cub Scouts (boys ages 5 to 10) and their parents. Volunteers are needed to help with program activities and serve as a mentor to Scouts.
Where: The event will be held at Camp Mountaineer - located 15 minutes outside of Morgantown. Parking and lodging are available to volunteers.
When: The event will take place Friday, April 21st at 7:30 PM to Sunday, April 23rd, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Volunteers are needed Saturday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner will be provided. Volunteers are also welcome to stay for the entire weekend if they would like.
How: No prior Scouting or outdoor experience is required. All of the activities are designed for young Scouts and will be lead by a past volunteer. Volunteers must bring a Boy Scout Medical Form with parts A & B filled out and complete BSA Youth Protection Training online. There is no cost to volunteer.
