On March 25 in Towers' Blue and Gold room, hundreds of WVU students will put together vegetable seed packs. Students will sit at tables to organize 8 different vegetable seeds into packets to send overseas to a third world country. We will also be collecting school supplies which will be put into care packets to help the children.
Our goal is to distribute 40,000 non-GMO, open pollinated vegetable SeedPacks that will provide families with an anticipated 400,000 pounds of vegetables. These seeds are part of GAIN's (Global Aid Network) food and agriculture program to help Zambia establish sustainable crops to feed their communities and stimulate their economy.
