WVU PAWS is holding a Dog & Car Wash on Saturday, August 29th from 10 am to 4 pm at Advance Auto Parts on Monongalia Blvd. The premise of this event is to bring your car and your dog and we will wash them both! This is a donation-only event. People will bring their dogs (or cars) for a bath.
We are also asking for donations such as towels, rags, cleaning supplies, dog-friendly shampoo (no Hartz), etc. If you are willing to donate any of these items please reach out to us.
All volunteers must be registered WVU PAWS members on WVUENGAGE, and have paid their dues for the Fall 2026 semester.
Volunteer tasks will include:
- Directing traffic
- Holding up signs along the road
- Washing cars
- Bathing dogs
- Working the check-in and item table
- General running
Event point totals are as follows:
- One (1) event point per hour worked
