Help Your Neighbors Recover: Volunteer for the WV Flood Cleanup Hotline
As West Virginia faces the aftermath of severe floods this July, our neighbors are starting the long, hard process of cleaning up and rebuilding. In times like these, the biggest asset we have is each other.
Volunteer WV is looking for volunteers to answer calls for the Crisis Cleanup Flood Hotline.
What You'll Do: You will talk directly with affected residents, listening to their needs and logging their data. By inputting information about their clean-up needs, you will ensure local relief organizations can deploy help exactly where it's needed most.
What You Need: Computer, internet connection, a phone (landline or cell)
How to Get Involved:
1. Get Trained (REQUIRED): Before you take your first call, please complete the brief 20 minute training.
2. Email: Gina.L.Namay@wv.gov to get your Crisis Cleanup login instructions.
3. Claim Shifts: Once you're trained, sign up for the times you are available to answer calls.
