Faith in Action of the Greater Kanawha Valley is a volunteer organization dedicated to serving our older neighbors in Kanawha and Putnam counties. Sweet Charity is our signature fundraiser that supports this work.
Happening this year on September 1, 2026, at Capitol Market in Charleston, Sweet Charity features 8 area bakers and chefs in competition for honors in the categories of Taste, Creativity, and Presentation, plus the coveted People's Choice Award.
Our emcee is Adam Harris of Mountain Stage. The event also features a panel of celebrity judges, live music, and great fun.
We are looking for volunteers to help with event set up, registration, activities, and tear down.
This is a perfect way to attend the event for free while earning some valuable community service hours!
