Help us celebrate Week of Engagement (National Volunteer Week) by spreading some appreciation to the nonprofit organizations that make our community stronger! The event will be Wednesday April 22nd from 10 am - 12 pm; You do not need to stay the entire time!
Volunteers will gather at the WVU Center for Community Engagement (Allen Hall, Suite 805) to make thank-you phone calls to local nonprofit partners. These short calls are meant to express gratitude for the ways organizations support WVU students and provide meaningful opportunities throughout the year.
This is a simple but powerful way to brighten someone's day and strengthen campus-community relationships!
What to expect:
-Show up to the WVU CCE space and receive a call list and brief script of what to say
-Use your personal device (bring your phone!) to place appreciation calls
-Leave voicemails if contacts are unavailable
-Track call outcomes so we can follow up if needed
No prior experience needed - just a friendly voice and a desire to say thank you!
