Faith in Action of the Greater Kanawha Valley is seeking 1–2 Intake Volunteers to support older adults entering our program. This role is ideal for students pursuing degrees in social work, nursing, counseling, gerontology, or related fields who are seeking meaningful, hands-on experience in a community-based setting.
Position Overview: Intake Volunteers conduct brief, in-home visits with new care receivers to introduce program services, gather relevant information, and ensure a safe and supportive experience for both clients and volunteers.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting introductory in-home intake visits
- Explaining program services clearly and compassionately
- Gathering basic information to help tailor services
- Helping establish trust and comfort with new care receivers
Compensation & Benefits:
- $20 stipend per completed intake visit
- Mileage reimbursement
