We are seeking volunteers to assist with Get a Life, a hands-on budgeting simulation designed for middle and high school students. This interactive experience helps students understand the importance of budgeting, financial planning, and career preparation by guiding them through real-world financial decisions.
During the simulation, students are randomly assigned a career and family scenario and must manage a monthly budget. With guidance from volunteers, they explore everyday expenses and learn how education, income, and financial choices influence both daily life and long-term goals.
Volunteer Role
Volunteers will staff one of the following stations and interact directly with students as they make financial decisions:
Housing
Cars
Insurance
Utilities
Groceries
Shopping
Gas
Doctor
The Green Reaper
No prior experience is required—training and materials will be provided.
