Description

Join us in the Mountainlair for a meaningful MLK Day of Service on January 19, featuring hands-on service projects, community connection, and a special educational presentation.

Walk-Up Service Stations will be open in the Vandalia Lounge from 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. These quick service activities—such as bracelet making, letter writing, and coloring—are designed to spread joy, promote advocacy, and offer simple ways to give back. Families and friends are welcome!

At 12:00 p.m., head next door to the Gluck (JG) Theatre for a presentation by educator, author, advocate and historian Austin McCoy titled:
“To Make the Poor Visible: Poor Peoples’ Movements in the Civil Rights Era and Beyond.”

Service Hours (Sign In Sheets Available Upon Arrival):
• Walk-up service stations = 1 hour
• Attend the presentation = 1 additional hour
• Attend one or both!

Celebrate Dr. King’s legacy through service and community. We hope to see you there!
