WVU Core Arboretum is having our eighth annual West Virginia Pawpaw Festival on Saturday, September 20, from 12-5 pm! This family-friendly, free event is open to everyone and will showcase and celebrate the delicious Appalachian tradition of eating pawpaw fruit. We will have pawpaws to sample or purchase, pawpaw dishes prepared by a chef, a talk about pawpaws, pawpaw plants and other native plants for sale, live music, food trucks, etc.
Volunteers for this need will help with setting up for the festival on the evening of Friday, September 19, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm. Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and clothes that they do not mind getting dirty. We will be working outside, so please dress for the weather. Thank you!
