Join us for an evening of conversation, connection, and community action!
Our Community Wrapping Parties bring together folks from all walks of life to help get books into the hands of incarcerated readers across Appalachia. Attendees can expect to spend the duration of the event packaging and addressing books for mailing.
Whether you are a longtime volunteer or brand new to our organization, we warmly invite you to attend—no prior experience necessary. The only required skills are legible handwriting and a passion for the project.
While this event is open to everyone, please note: first-time volunteers must complete our New Volunteer Training before volunteering independently at the Aull Center. Wrapping parties are a great way to get involved, but they don’t replace training.
When: Wednesday, October 15th — Drop in anytime between 6–8 p.m.
Where: Ascend WV, 1279 University Ave, Morgantown, WV 26505
Who: All kinds are welcome—bring a friend or make a few!
Limited parking is available on-site, and there’s additional parking nearby in the Spruce Street and Pleasant/Chestnut garages.
Wrap some books and be part of something bigger. We can’t wait to see you there!
