Join United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties for Backpacks of Hope—a meaningful 9/11 Day of Service event honoring the National Day of Remembrance through community action. We’re packing and distributing 100 backpacks filled with shelf-stable food, hygiene, and cleaning supplies for underserved families in Monongalia and Preston Counties. Volunteers will help in one of two areas:
Morning Shift – Packing Crew: Assemble backpacks in an assembly-line setup.
Afternoon Shift – Distribution Crew: Deliver backpacks and share information about additional community resources. This is a great opportunity for individuals, student groups, faith communities, and corporate teams. All skill levels and abilities welcome—there’s a role for everyone!
