Our agency has been hosting the annual Mineral County Senior Olympics for two decades! It will be held June 10-13, 2025, at Potomac State College of West Virginia, located in Keyser, WV. An average of 130 senior citizens from throughout WV and surrounding states come to participate in this event. Volunteers are the backbone of this event. This event could not exist without the dedication of the 50+ area citizens who help each year. Volunteers' time, energy, and enthusiasm fuel our continued success and make our athletes' dreams a reality. We welcome and encourage individuals, families, and groups, i.e., church youth groups, civic and fraternal organizations, as well as high school and college classes, to sign up as volunteers. We offer a variety of events each day. This includes corn hole, bean bag toss, wiffle ball toss, washer toss, shuffleboard, poker, phase ten, bocce, disc golf, soccer kicking, 20-yard dash, lacrosse shooting, football throws, softball throws, baseball pitching, ladder ball, basketball hot shots and free throws, and golf putting.
