Each year Chestnut Ridge Park is proud to host a local toboggan festival. Imagine an event for all ages to test their sledding skills for bragging rights. This year, the event is scheduled for February 17th with an alternate date of February 25th (if there isn't enough snow). We need volunteers to help us keep the various contests running smoothly. For example, in our "Reindeer Rodeo" we need helpers to chase down the hoola-hoops that participants throw mid sled ride at their targets..... :) If you want to have a laugh, and enjoy the winter weather, please consider lending a hand!
The event is scheduled for 12p-2p, but we ask that you arrive at 11:30 for a briefing and to assist with any last minute details. We will approve an additional hour for your travel time, for a total of 3.5 hrs if you arrive on time and stay for the full event. Please monitor your emails. This event is weather contingent and requires snow. We will notify you by email if we need to reschedule.
