This 2.5 hour live training focuses on building community capacity and individual skills in bystander intervention, empowering students and community members to intervene when they observe potentially dangerous situations. This session will explore bystander intervention using examples which involve Intimate Partner Violence and discuss sexual violence, which may be disturbing for some students. Please be advised that there will be no images, videos, or graphic descriptions of violence or injuries. All participants will receive 2.5 service hours for engaging optional training to help their communities.
WVU Peer Advocates will receive an additional 1.25 hours for every person they recruit for the training.
