Please join FODC for a day of upgrading one of our acid mine drainage treatment sites. We will be shoveling limestone fines that are washing out and clogging the pipes in our treatment system, and putting them in a new location on site. We will then replace the fines with larger pieces of limestone. This is a great event for people that love being outside, don't mind some heavy lifting, and want to help a great cause. This site removes AMD that harms fish, humans, and wildlife in Deckers Creek.
We're looking for two groups of 15 volunteers to do two separate shifts, the first from 9 am- 12 pm, and the second from 1 pm- 4 pm. If you're interested in this event, let us know if you have a preference between the morning and afternoon shifts, or if you're flexible. Thank you!
