Who We Are

WVU Children’s Hospital is the only free standing Childrens Hospital in the state, which is right on our campus.

Last year, families turned to WVU Medicine Children’s more than 199,000 times to find hope and healing.  Our inpatient and outpatient services treat children and expectant mothers regardless of their ability to pay.

Our goal is to raise funds to help elevate the stress on the families going through such hard times. We strive to raise as much as we can. During the year we hold various fundraisers to help us meet our goal. At the end of the Spring semester we hold a Dance Marathon to show our total amount of earnings! Come join the cause and put your money and time where the miracles are!

What We Do

WVU Medicine Children’s provides maternal, infant, and pediatric care for West Virginia and the surrounding region.

Most of us take walking, seeing, breathing, eating, hearing, and a lot of other things for granted.  But, life presents extra challenges to the health of some of our most vulnerable children and expectant mothers.

At WVU Medicine Children’s, we do our very best to ensure that these seriously ill or injured kids and expectant mothers have first-rate medical care that’s close to home. That is why we offer services in some of our highest demand subspecialities in fourteen statewide clinics.

Children’s offers the greatest range of pediatric specialty and high-risk maternal care in the state. The need for our care is great. We treat every child and mother who comes to us in need, regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
