Who We Are
Animal House provides a number of services to the community. We provide an opportunity for early learning programs and classrooms to receive hands-on education on a number of Reptiles, Mammals, Fish and Birds in a controlled environment. These programs are coordinated to teach children basic knowledge of animals/pets and their care.
Animal House also provides a unique experience to the elderly. Volunteers gather a number of common and exotic animals and transport them to assisted living centers to provide residents with a chance to interact with Animals in a setting where they may no longer be allowed to have their own beloved pet.
Animal House participates in Monongalia County Schools SWAP Program. Whose goal is to prepare students with disabilities for the world of work upon graduation through work experience and increase their ability to get a job.
Animal House is also a rescue and has taken in many unwanted or left behind pets. Animals that are rescued or dropped off are cared for and re-homed.
What We Do
Animal House is able to offer these programs because of the many dedicated volunteers which includes WVU students and the proceeds from The Animal House Pet Store Sells.
