Who We Are
The mission of the Department of Volunteer Services
is to efficiently further WVU Medicine's mission
of delivering comprehensive patient care in
response to community healthcare needs
through a consistently well managed corps of
volunteers.
What We Do
The purpose of Volunteer Services at WVU Hospitals is to provide supplementary assistance to the professional staff in their care and support of our patients and their families. Volunteers can also help promote within the community a sense of confidence in and knowledge of hospital services. Volunteers add to the excellence of healthcare at WVU Hospitals by helping patients, their families, the staff, visitors to the hospital, and the community.
