Who We Are

CASA is a volunteer driven organization that advocates for children who are victims of abuse and neglect. CASA for Kids serves Monongalia and Preston Counties in WV.

CASA For Kids has multiple ways to get involved with our program and make a difference in a child's life! The first way is to become a Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteer. If you don't feel like you have the time to become a CASA volunteer, you can become a Friend of CASA. This volunteer opportunity ranges from helping to plan events/fundraisers, admin work, and other tasks. The third way is to financially contribute to our program. Check out each page to learn more about each opportunity.

What We Do

CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children, to make sure they don’t get lost in the overburdened legal and social service system or languish in inappropriate group or foster homes. Volunteers stay with each case until it is closed and the child is placed in a safe, permanent home. For many abused children, their CASA volunteer will be the one constant adult presence in their lives.
