Graduate education is a major focus of the educational mission of the Schools within the Health Science Center. For the student, it represents not only learning a new body of knowledge but also learning the skills to conduct research to acquire new knowledge to benefit future generations. The breadth of opportunity is large with programs at the certificate, masters, and PhD level. But within this breadth is a common thread that focuses on providing the highest quality of training and helping each student achieve their career goals.

The primary focus of our office is to support faculty and students in their research endeavors. On the research side, the major efforts are to help faculty locate and secure funding for their research laboratories and to achieve their research goals. on the graduate education side, the focus is on recruiting the best students for the various graduate programs in the Health Sciences Center and assisting with their needs while they pursue their education.
