The 12 Mandated Programs of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
1. Achievement Week
Observed each November, Achievement Week recognizes individuals who have contributed to community uplift. A High School Essay Contest is also held in conjunction with this celebration.
2. College Endowment Fund
Every year, the fraternity donates at least $50,000 to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), continuing Omega's commitment to philanthropy and education.
3. Fatherhood and Mentoring
At every level of the fraternity, particularly at the chapter level, members actively engage in promoting Omega’s Fatherhood and Mentoring initiative, supporting young men and families.
4. Health Initiatives
Chapters coordinate and participate in activities promoting good health practices. Signature programs include the Charles Drew Blood Drive and partnerships with organizations like the American Diabetes Association.
5. Memorial Service
Each year on March 12th, chapters hold a service to honor and remember members who have entered into Omega Chapter.
6. NAACP
Each district and chapter is required to maintain a Life Membership at Large in the NAACP. Members are encouraged to join and support the NAACP.
7. Reclamation and Retention
Omega Psi Phi is committed to retaining active members and encouraging inactive brothers to return to full participation at the international, district, and local levels.
8. Scholarship
Promoting academic excellence among undergraduate members, graduate chapters provide financial assistance to students, both members and non-members.
9. Social Action
Chapters participate in community uplift activities such as voter registration, Assault on Illiteracy, Habitat for Humanity, mentoring, and charitable fundraising efforts.
10. Omega STEM
Through Omega’s STEM initiatives, the fraternity encourages students across the globe to pursue studies and careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
11. Talent Hunt Program
This program provides exposure, encouragement, and financial support to young talents in the performing arts, with winners receiving recognition and potential college scholarships.
12. Voter Registration, Education, and Mobilization
Chapters work within their communities to facilitate voter registration, education, and encourage mobilization through the power of the vote.
