Brad and Alys Smith Outdoor Economic Development Collaborative

Through alliances between West Virginia University, educators, state and local leaders and outdoor enthusiasts, the Brad and Alys Smith Outdoor Economic Development Collaborative works to redefine the Mountain State and enhance the quality of life for West Virginians.

The Smith OEDC volunteer efforts in Morgantown revolve around creating and maintaining high quality trail experiences.  We work with professional and volunteer trail builders to build new hiking and mountain biking trails in the Morgantown area and across the state.  These volunteer events are part training and part trailwork.  If you like to play outside on trails and want to get some exercise while creating awesome new adventures for your community and be one of the first to test ride your own creation, then sign up for a trail work event! We'll provide safety gear, tools, and knowledge.  You just need to bring yourself, work clothes, and a smile.
