Volunteer: WVU Core Arboretum Work Day Fridays Spring 26

Volunteers help keep the WVU Core Arboretum beautiful, and you can be a part of the crew each Friday from 4-7 pm! Volunteers will work on trails, do invasive species removal, clean drainage channels, maintain lawn areas, etc. The program is open to all. It is hard work, but good exercise, and it is much appreciated by the Arboretum’s many users. There is a limit on the number of volunteers that we can accommodate each day, but the program will be ongoing. Interested volunteers should register here, and email Zach Fowler (zfowler@mail.wvu.edu) if you have any questions. Volunteers will meet near the Arboretum parking lot. Volunteers should wear closed toe shoes, long pants, and clothes that are okay to get dirty. The event will be cancelled if the weather is dangerous.

WVU Core Arboretum is having our annual Spring Flower Festival on Saturday, April 18, from 2-6 pm! We will have wildflower tours, live music, lawn games, nature activities for kids, food, and lots of information about other Arboretum programming.

Volunteers for this need will meet at the Arboretum kiosk near the parking lot and help with running the festival on the afternoon of Saturday, April 18, from 1:30 pm until 6:00 pm. Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and clothes that they do not mind getting dirty. We will be working outside, so please dress for the weather. Thank you!
