In search of volunteers for our 1st annual Run, Walk or Roll Track event on Sunday, September 23rd 2018 from 8am to 1pm. This event will benefit the WVU Center for Excellence in Disabilities. West Virginia has the highest rate of people with disabilities in the nation and a shortage of services available to serve them. The WVU CED leads efforts to provide unique and effective training, research, and services (clinical and community) for individuals with disabilities, their families, and providers. The WVU CED is the only university-based center for excellence in disabilities in WV and is part of a larger national network of centers who aim to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities.
Volunteers are needed to assist with participant registration, to manage hydration stations, assist participants and attendees with questions, assist with Kid’s Fun Station activities, to oversee the children’s fun run, event set up and tear down, and to cheer on our participants! Additional iServe hours may also be offered before the event to distribute event flyers in and around campus.
