We are in need of volunteers for the Cheat Lake Elementary School (CLES) Science Fair, to be held Wednesday, November 13th, 2019 in Morgantown.
Volunteer positions include:
- judging student posters
- help run activity stations to entertain students while they're not being judged
Judging: Anyone can be a judge! You just need to show the students some interest and attention. Ask them questions about what they did, why they did it, what they learned and what they would do differently next time?
Activity Stations: Rockets, robots, rocks? Activity stations are a great way to share your student organization's passion and get kids excited too! We expect a total of ~80 students, ages 6-11 over the two-hour period (6:00-8:00 p.m.). The school is latex-free, so please do not bring anything latex into the school (e.g. no latex balloons, elastic bands or gloves). If you sign up for an activity station, please organize your own helpers/volunteers (if you need them), bring supplies, and for clean up your area afterward.
