Join us for a tree planting party at Falling Run – 200 trees in one day
This spring, FirstEnergy and their Green Team are generously donating native trees and shrubs to improve the streambanks and cleared areas. So, now we hope to get volunteers to help with the planting.
Restoring natural habitat is one of our most rewarding missions at Falling Run. You get hands on experience while reconnecting with your natural environment. It's physical work, but good exercise. And it's much appreciated by Falling Run visitors and the native wildlife.
Free snacks and drinks. Bring a friend. Two shifts available: 9 am to 12 pm and 12 pm to 3 pm.

Volunteer activities are ongoing and open to all. But there's a limit on the number of participants we can accommodate each workday

Wear boots or sturdy closed toe shoes, socks, long pants, and clothes that are okay to get dirty

We'll provide tools and safety equipment as needed. Bring water, and consider taking a hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent

If you get allergic reactions to insect stings, make sure you bring your EpiPen

Parking at Falling Run is limited so plan in advance – Parking is available on the Upper Level Monday through Friday (rate is $1.50/per hour) just a 15-minute walk to Falling Run's Outlook Trailhead
