It's physical work, but good exercise. And it's much appreciated by Falling Run users and the native wildlife.
Volunteer activities are ongoing and open to all. But there's a limit on the number of participants we can accommodate each workday. Interested volunteers can register here, and email Rich Wolff (rjw0009@mix.wvu.edu) with any questions.
Wear boots or sturdy closed toe shoes, socks, long pants, and clothes that are okay to get dirty. We'll provide tools and safety equipment as needed. Bring water, and consider taking a hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent. If you get allergic reactions to insect stings, make sure you bring your EpiPen.
Meet at the Falling Run tool trailer at the gravel parking lot by the Outlook Trailhead. For directions, use the address: 40 Outlook St., Morgantown, WV, 26505.
Parking at Falling Run is limited so plan in advance. FYI the Mountainlair parking garage (upper level) is FREE on Saturdays and Sundays, a 15-minute walk to Falling Run's Outlook Trailhead. Nearby restrooms are at the Mountainlair as well.
