We need 15 volunteers who can help with setup, carry food for clients to their vehicles, and help clean up. Volunteers MUST be able to carry up to 50 lb.
Approximately 16% of the people in Monongalia County are food insecure. Many of these individuals and families live 'on the edge' and rely on pantries and meal programs to 'make ends meet'.
The Mountaineer Food Bank brings fresh produce, frozen meat and non-perishable food (~14,000 lb) to distribute to ANYONE in Monongalia County who needs it once a month. The Pantry Plus More supports these events by setting up, distributing food and cleaning up.
