WV Land Trust will be building and maintaining a system of hiking trails at the Elizabeth's Woods tract of the new 325-acre Tom's Run Nature Preserve on several dates this fall, and eager volunteers are needed to develop this public recreation asset.
A guaranteed enjoyable experience for all ages, and a great season to be out in the forest. It's rewarding, physical work with hand tools (shovels and rakes), but not overly difficult, and you will be provided instruction in conservation trail building techniques by WVLT senior staff.
Spend an afternoon discovering and contributing to an ever-growing system of walking trails on a beautiful forested preserve just outside Morgantown.

We'll meet at the Goshen Road Park and Ride lot off of I-79.
Sunday, Oct 21st from 11 am to 3 pm
Wear clothing that is suitable for fieldwork (durable, can get dirty). Boots are required. Bring gloves if you own a pair. Bring water, lunch/snacks, field guides (optional but nice to have for wildflower/bird/tree ID), and anything else that you'd normally bring for a day in the woods.
