Attend and participate in wikipedia edit-a-thon

On April 19, 2018, at West Virginia University’s Downtown Campus Library Room 1036 from 12pm to 3pm, students in West Virginia University’s Women’s and Gender Studies Capstone class are hosting a Women Innovators, Designers and Entrepreneurs Wikipedia Edit-a-thon. It will be held in conjunction with WVU’s Demo Day (https://ideahub.wvu.edu/demo-day). A second Edit-a-thon will be held during the Women’s and Gender Studies Fair in the Mountain Lair Ballrooms on April 24, 2018, from 3pm to 6pm.

The Edit-a-thons will focus on recognizing women through editing pages and adding new content to Wikipedia. There will be an emphasis on adding content about women of color and WVU Alumni.

Please join us in expanding Wikipedia content to promote the recognition of women’s accomplishments. Feel free to come and edit for 1-3 hours. There will be a sign-up in the room 1036.
