The Mon River Trails Conservancy needs volunteers to help with the Deckers Creek Trail Half-Marathon on Saturday, June 1. Let us know if you are willing to give your morning over to helping with the race and making this fund-raiser for the rail-trail a success. The race registration starts at 6:30 am and clean up is at 1:00 pm. Help is needed to staff the water stops, help register runners, staff road crossings, work the refreshments tables, and with event take down.
Plenty of volunteer options. We are expecting between 600-700 runners. The race takes place from Masontown to Morgantown, WV ending at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park. Refreshment tables and award ceremony will be in the Wharf Parking Garage, due to renovations taking place at the park. We need volunteers all along the course. Email Ella for more details.
