Biography Project Volunteers Needed

Help preserve and celebrate the unique life stories of hospice patients through our meaningful Biography Project. Volunteers spend time interviewing patients, either in person or virtually, learning about their life experiences, family, hobbies, career accomplishments, military service, favorite memories, and personal milestones. Using the information gathered, volunteers create a brief written biography that captures the patient's story and highlights the moments and achievements that are most meaningful to them. Volunteers also design a personalized poster that may include photographs, meaningful quotes, family information, artwork, clipart, important dates, accomplishments, and other special memories shared during the interview. The completed biography and poster often become treasured keepsakes for patients and their loved ones, providing comfort, connection, and a lasting legacy. This project can be completed remotely and on your own schedule, making it a flexible volunteer opportunity for individuals who enjoy writing, storytelling, graphic design, genealogy, history, or simply connecting with others through compassionate listening. No prior experience is required. We provide guidance, templates, and support throughout the process. By participating in the Biography Project, you can help ensure that every patient's story is heard, honored, and remembered. Time Commitment: Flexible, based on volunteer availability and patient interviews. Location: Remote or in-person interviews, depending on patient preference and availability.
