We are seeking caring and dependable volunteers to make weekly courtesy calls to approximately 15 to 20 hospice patients. These friendly check-in calls help ensure patients have the support, supplies, and resources they need before the weekend while also providing meaningful social interaction and connection. Volunteers typically make calls between Wednesday and Friday, but the schedule is flexible and can often be adjusted to fit your availability. During each call, volunteers may ask patients how they are doing, confirm they have necessary supplies and medications, address any non-medical concerns, and relay important information to the hospice team when needed. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy talking with others and want to make a difference through compassionate communication. Many patients look forward to these regular conversations, making this role a wonderful way to build relationships and provide reassurance, encouragement, and companionship. No medical experience is required. Volunteers receive training, call guidelines, and ongoing support from hospice staff.
