This week the "Lets Talk Series" will be covering National Service! The purpose of the National Service Panel is to bring together national service members from different programs and organizations, access advice from experienced AmeriCorps members and Alums, ask questions that highlight the opportunities and challenges with national service.
There are two parts to this series, one being the info session, and the second part is an engaging activity. For our engaging activity, students will be assisting VISTA Sydni, who works at the WVU RACK Student Food Pantry. Students will sort and take inventory of recent food donations provided to the food pantry. Through this activity, students will gain experience in how capacity-building works in higher education and how being a VISTA allows you to have a direct impact on campus and in your community.
