As the featured service project for Diversity Week, the Center for Service and Learning (CSL) and the Division of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DDEI) are teaming up with Sherwin-Williams and BOPARC to repaint the skate park at Marilla Park! The Marilla Skate Park is an outdoor skateboard and BMX bike facility located adjacent to Marilla Park Recreation Center. The park includes a half-pipe, pyramid with a rail and two combination vert ramps.
Service provides rich opportunities for students to experience and understand diversity in meaningful ways. WVU is excited to add service to the Diversity Week schedule as it provides a platform to build community, develop the character strengths of social responsibility, and collaborate across diverse populations to make our community a better place!
Volunteers are needed for two 3-hour shifts (10am-1pm, 2pm-5pm), and can sign up for one or both opportunities! Please remember to wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty/painted and close-toed shoes.
